I have been geocaching now for over four years and have come across many different types of cache hides. Some of these memorable caches were evil, clever or very creative, but some just were fun. This Cache to the Month would fall under another fun hide with a "creative twist." |

Just in time for the Memorial Day weekend! The final to the NJCC: North Jersey Checkpoint Challenge series is the May 2009 cache of the month. The puzzle to solve to find the cache is intended to take geocachers on a tour of Northern New Jersey (loosely defined as north of Interstate 78) while finding caches placed by members of the Northern New Jersey Cachers (NNJC). |

This cache is an excellent advanced geocachers experience. Although the hike is mostly on well groomed trails it is a strenuous hike. The conclusion of which leads you to this cache and will require you to know the functions of your GPSr. A Garmin 60 CSx is recommended for the adventure. |

Check out this unique cache hidden in February, 2009. Although it has been found by only 14 geocachers in the first two months it has been active, it is well worth the trip to South Mountain Preserve to check out this extremely unique slukster cache. The cache is so special people are returning with video cameras to watch their friends make the find. |
