The NNJC June 2010 Cache of the Month is GC232HH "Grandpa's Dead End."

This cache is located deep in a scenic swamp. What makes this cache stand out is the many different experiences cachers will have depending on how they follow their GPS and navigate to the cache. It all depends on the correct or incorrect direction you take.

Some cachers have had an easy, enjoyable hike to the cache, while other have had a tough time with the swamp winning the battle. I had been beaten and bloodied by this swamp on my first attempt, but had a wonderful experience on my second try. Also, depending on the time of year you attempt this cache, this swampy environment will give seekers a different experience.

Read the many different logs by many cachers who attempted "Grandpa's Dead End," there is even a funny track log posted by GerIRL who also had a couple different experiences with this cache. So go and find this cache, choose wisely and it will be an enjoyable hike passing scenic small ponds with lots of swamp wildlife along the hike. Choose poorly and you will still see lots of swamp wildlife, but you will be absorbed by the swamp! Congratulations to Omnigirl for a very interesting cache location and for the enjoyable hike through the swamp, also thanks to her dad, Swampland'r, for promoting this nice, swampy oasis.
